"HBO isn't saying a peep about his role, but it
sounds to me like he could be one-third of a final
love triangle with Carrie and Big. Show producer
Michael Patrick King has said they're bringing
in a big love interest post-Berger. In the episode
after the one I told you about with Big in the
hospital, Carrie goes out on a date with a Russian
artist. Somehow, I can't see Duchovny in that
role, but maybe!" |

Smooch in Bondage

a tank with miscreant edges drives a knitter beserk after multiple evenings spent failing to control them
she tightly wraps the misbehaving garment in the cheapest acrylic yarn she can find and makes it sit on the skein for...

BusMate #2
"It was like deja vu all over again." Yogi Berra
All of my current knitting projects are too hot or too complicated to be proper bus knitting.
So I'm making another ChicKami (out of Phildar Akala #4 - just scrumptious pearl mercerized cotton). This one will be without shaping and I'm testing wider straps. I'll update the pattern with the strap option #2 when I finish.
Last summer, I made three in a row - I went on a circular knitting bender because by the end of the day, I just couldn't do anything else. Working outside in the hottness that is the Chicago schizophrenic weather of the minute wears me down to a little nub in no time at all.
By the time I get home from the commute, I'm soothed and relaxed and I can tackle something more brain-engaging - like my little pink cami! While watching Cupid.
That show deserves a SUPER WHAT THE---
HARSH - but I couldn't pull my eyes away - just like an accident on the freeway...

I added a few stripes, and it's all Lion's Brand Cotton-Ease, believe it or not. It's the hit of the party, like a spicy little party favor! I really like it. It's comfortable and fun. I need another couple or three."

Tales from the #66: CUPID
 Opal Mexico #16
I never thought knitting would be a man magnet, especially on the bus. (Heh, even though the succession of sweaty construction workers might've been a clue?)
Imagine my surprise when a very cute, dread-locked boy with a sk8board started talking to me during the evening commute Wednesday night.
First of all, no one ever strikes up conversations on the #66, unless they are clueless tourists. You either get ignored - or worse, you get the *LOOK* which is about ten times as powerful as *the Hand*.
But this fellow was so cute and charming, I was chattering and smiling away like the East Village Welcome Wagon. We started talking about the history of knitting after he remarked it looked like I had a lap loom (was working on the Kami in the round). Oh yes, I smiled, knitting is fabric and we launched into a riff about medieval chain mail. (Yaha, logical segue).
SO, I pulled out my sock and he just fell in love...
"He was a boy, she was a girl Can I make it anymore obvious? He was a punk, she did ballet What more can I say? He wanted her, she'd never tell secretly she wanted him as well. But all of her friends stuck up their nose they had a problem with his baggy clothes.
He was a sk8er boi, she said see ya later boy he wasn't good enough for her She had a pretty face, but her head was up in space she needed to come back down to earth." Avril Lavigne
Heh, nahh, it was just her bus stop first...
