I love this design...

The Little Bad Muse was out kickin'
it this Saturday with Kermit Ruffins at the Green
Dolphin, but not before she helped me finally finish
the Cinnamon Cardie from the Rowan Summer Tweed Book
2002.
I started this in April when I was up at Mom's post-hospital
stay in the country. Why, I think this sweater is
NeoUrbanCountry...
Mom says "HI!" She's doing well and busy gardening
and enjoying the weather in Northern Michigan!

Smoochie hits the deck...

Now that I'm up to the armhole shaping, I've
started reading the pattern for the armhole edging.
Why does it roll like that in the picture? Does anybody
like this effect? I have a sleeveless turtleneck I
made that does this (by mistake) and it drives me
nuts...
This design also seems really small. I made this piece
an extra 6 rows longer because every cotton (even
blends) that I have shrink lengthwise during the first
wash. No more! I'll wash it to block it and voila!
Correct (for me) and final length is set.
I know that AllSeasons has inherent springiness so
maybe the close-body-fit is to take advantage of that.
I wish I would've made one size larger! So I'm going
to do something I've only done once before. I'm going
to finish this piece as the back. And the next piece
will be the front, made in the next larger size.
I'll adapt for the increase in stitches at the armhole
decreases and neckline shaping. I think it will work
and give me a little more ease in the bodacious areas.
HOWEVVA, this is excellent baseball knitting. I watched
the Cubbies/Phillies game on Superstation WGN and
hardly looked at my hands the whole time...

a ChicKnits Gallery Presentation
***************************************
It is a PHENOM! This summer all over the cyber
landscape, Knitalongs have been popping up like crazy!
The first one I joined was Jen's BoatNeck Shell Knitalong
over
at MonkeyKnits.
My landslide of a life has made it impossible to go
to a group and this filled in the gap beautifully!
Jen started a Yahoo Group for the Knitalong and many
new friends were made along with a cool shell...
Without further ado, here is our first lovely model
wearing her completed BNS, Teresa, from California.

.
Teresa writes: "First time knitting with cotton,
so figured out quickly to knit more tightly). It was
really fun to knit it in a Knit Along Group - I had
never been in a Knit Along Group before. Used Berroco
Cotton Twist and will be making the BNS three more
times in three other colors from Berroco Cotton Twist
that I have in my stash waiting to be knit! Once I
find a pattern that I like, I want it in several colors!"
WOW! Beautiful work, Teresa!
