I made the purse itself too short by 2" so I knitted a cuff to make up for the difference. I'm glad I made this mistake because it ended up being a "Design Feature".

I cast on the amout of stitches that would fit around the top using doubled yarn. In this case it was 60 stitches using #7 needles.

I worked Stocking St for 2", 1 row Purl for turning then 3 rows St st.

Then I worked 3 inches using the eyelash yarn.

Using a doubled strand of the cotton I worked two rows of garter stitch then bound off.
